We’d like to introduce Trenton Kerger! He runs the Metro Area High School League in Omaha. Every January, high schools field 5 students to represent them within the league. There have been upwards of 12 schools competing against each other each week, concluding in March. Teams are awarded based on total wins. Additionally, each school brings their top 2 boards to play in an individual championship. This year’s winners included Millard North (team championship) and Omaha Central (individual championship).
If you’d like to meet Trenton, and talk about your school’s involvement, he plans on attending the UNO April 2022 Chess Tournament on April 23rd.
